K unfortunately for me I decided to buy a budget lappy. So I picked up a compaq v3000. This thing has an intel core solo processor with the 945 gm chipset and 512 megs of ram.

Now I've got a xfx nvidia 7300 gs lying at my place. I'd won this card at eswc so I was wondering wether there was any way I could fit this into m laptop. The card had "notebook-compatible" written on the box.

Is there any way I could fit this? With as few modifications to my existing setup as possible?

I dont think its possible to add graphics card except the high end XPS(Dell) where you can change . where exactly is this "notebook-compatible" written ? on the box ?

Yeh its written right on the box. This is stupid. Can I get this laptop replaced by another one with a decent video card? I'll pay the hp guys extra. This was a valid option in sg and other countries can we do this in India?

You cant add a desktop graphics card in a notebook!! Even in the XPS and other gaming laptops u can add cards based on MXM modules only. Highly unlikely they'll change it now, you should have configured it with a graphics module before u bought it.
