Graphic Cards 7600GT of 8500GT ??

i am getting both of them for same price ..... which one u guys think will be better. i am building a HTPC for my brother. he will be mostly use it for watching HD movies and little bit of TV and little bit of gaming. so wat do u guys suggest.

Quite obviously 8500GT.

It should stack up somewhere around 7600GT performance, but DX10 is the added bonus.
 
Fine, it maybe a Dx10 card, but it also needs to as powerful enough to render the dx10 textures.Theres no use having a Dx10 card which gives the same performance as a 7600gt.A dx10 card outperforming a 7600GS isnt worth it IMO.
 
Hmm in that case, check which OE has a better card with dual dvi potputs, HDMI support and any additional frivolities, as performance is gonna be the same, its the added features that will count.

is available now and for 8500GT i have to wait 2-3 days ....... and as i am leaving tomorrow to sweet home :D ...... anyways will ask anybody to

courier the card to me ....... thanks guys

To my opinion right now 8500 or 8600 gpu cards etc..its pretty uselsss and not worthy at all..cuz lack of nvidia drivers and also full vista compability issues, moreover not even dx10 games r out to yet. so my kind request is to wait for amd gpu line ups or nvidia might release better version who knows.:ashamed:
