Graphic Cards 7600GT Questions

Hi all

I plan to buy a 7600GT.
Can you recommend a good brand?
I have heard that XFX is best, but its the most costly. Is it true?
What are the other brands with good price/performance ratio.

How much would it cost in Delhi (Nehru Place)?
 
OR else , arun_rulez is selling a BIG card which he won , brand new and carries full warranty. You can go for it if it isnt purchased yet
 
At this point of time I wouldn't buy anything less than a 1950Pro which retails around 13-14k, a 7600GT just doesn't cut enough in the new games.

Anyway a 7600GT should cost about 8-9k, XFX is actually your best bet and it shouldn't be that expensive either.
 
XFX is about 1-1.5 k costlier than brands like BIG, Palit, Sparkle and the performance differnce is not notable as such.

I would suggest you rather go in for 7900GS or the 1950pro if you can spend a little extra...or even better if you can wait for the 8600 series to be launched in India
 
I have the 7600 GT from sparkle with 512 Mb of ram, it has proven its worth many times, games look amazing and OCing is easy through coolbits in the registry or riva tuner I run mine at 670Mhz core and memory at 350Mhz(ddr). HL2, WoW, F.E.A.R., need for speed carbon, games look awesome. Bang for the buck.
 
7600GT doesn't have a memory of 350MHz. Are you sure it is 512MB as I have never heard of a 512MB model.

Assuming that you have a good P4 or better or decent single core or better A64, a 7600GT should allow you the following experience provided RAM is not a bottleneck:

FEAR 1024x768 MAX no SS no AA
MW 1024x768 MAX no SS
Carbon, not sure but hopefully 1024x768 MAX or atleast Medium without AA
Oblivion 1024x768 Med or Med-High
GRAW 1024x768 Med
Vegas Unplayable unless you have a C2D and very very very bad even then
DA Similar experience
