I have to buy a card.
Which one of the two do you think gives better performance.
7600GT or 6800GS 512MB
I am getting both at the same price from BIG(13.5k)
Please help me and support ur stand with links of benchies if u can

I think hes comparing a 7600GT 256mb to a 6800GS 512mb.

Id say 7600GT.

Search google for it ;).
 
Stay away from BIG.Do whatever it takes, import it or whatever but please stay away from BIG.XFX, Leadtek, MSI are good makes.
 
7600 GT yaar, dont be fooled by the 512 MB thing, ive heard ppl saying go for a 6200 512 MB instead of a better card. The 6800 GS is not powerful enough to actually make use of the 512 MB. The 7600 GT 256 MB is a great midrange card and beats the 6800 GS convincingly.

Edit: DD these cards, 7600 and 7900 from BIG are supposed to be good, coz theyre all manufactured by nvidia oem's.
Edit2: Oh yeah also mohit has a deal for leadtek 7600 GT for 14k, go for it.
 
Hunter are u sure the BIG 7600 GT is gud as im planning to buy it
Are BIG cards equal to quality n performance to other companies like XFX etc
 
Im not sure, i remember reading something in darky's 7900 and 7600 thread in the market section, check that out. and check mohit's thread in the market section too. Wait for the more knowledgable people than me :P to reply abt the BIG cards.

Are BIG 7600GT okay to buy(warranty n service) and Are BIG cards equal to quality n performance to other companies like XFX etc
 
From what I have heard of and from my hardware dealers, BIG cards arn't really as good as the other makes.
 
BIG cards are decent and BIG offers good VFM but I would never prefer a BIG over a Leadtek/XFX/Gainward unless my budget was realllllly tight.
 
some reasons I would not go for BIG are,

I have never seen any BIG ka cards reviewed anywhere except in mags like DIGIT n CHIP .. plus i had heard that their packaging and stuff is more like OEM and not retail .. I mean you dont get any fancy stuff like great box packing + games n stuff ... and lastly just coz of the brand image.
 
I am getting a BIG 7600GT for 13.5 K and
XFX 7600GT for 18k and
Leadtek 7600 GT for 15.5K + taxes

which one should i go for considering that im not on a shoestring budget but i also cant spend really freely
 
If u don't have 2Gb of RAM,the 6800GS 512mb may be better.Games like actually make use of the ram and the 6800GS and the 7600GT are not very far apart in performance.
