Areee Anish... Not all BIG cards are by global ... I beleive thier 6600 Gt is only by them... Rest are by somebody else...
Yes, yes I meant that, because only the 6600GT has the same BFG design.

As for nVidia the buying order should be IMHO :
BFG < XFX/Gainward < ASUS/eVGA, etc.

eVGA will be my first choice if i am buying anything from USA. XFX kinda changed my mind with their 7800 series but still i prefer evga.

I have found their cards to be of highest quality standards and the support is great. Its unfortunate that they could not come to india. Some vendors tried to bring evga here and for brief period it was available in india but something happened and they stopped importing evga again.

If you experience their support team then you will be blown away with kind of support they have. Instant replies, technically sound advices and no matter where you are on the planet they are always ready to help.

QFT... Also BFG in also up there... Infact if one is in US then his primary consideration should be BFG only... WHy cause the lifetime warrenty is too good to pass...

ASUS > XFX any given day... They just give you the best... Check out the 7800GTX edition of ASUS... Comes with Artic silver fan...

XFX is cheap... No way you can compare it to BFG,ASUS,E-VGA only with thier 6xxx series they have come out with better cards... Even then initail 6600 GT's and 6800 GT's were underclocked... The only thing to go in for XFX in india is there presence... If anything goes wrong with the card then you can easily get replacement...

The thing about top compinies is that they come out with better fan designes then reference fans... ASUS,BFG,EVGA,Gainward does that all the time... It is just now with 7800 GT we have seen XFX with 7800 GTX cooler... These thing justifies the premium pricing of these cards...

This thread needs to be split into 2 :P

Its not always the case that different design fans work better.

The 6800 series BFG and gainward HSF was bad design.

The dual fan design of both did not work well.

Each company has its marketing plans. Evga has their upgrade program going on in USA.

BFG with their oced cards and lifetime warranty. then evga and xfx jumping into the bandwagon of oced cards.

Trust me on evga support. its rated no 1 in the US at the moment. They did not offer anything special with GF6 series but their cards were solid and one of the best ocers. With GF7 series they had this amazing free motherboard offer. And also they brought KO edition cards.

As far as i am concerned XFX has got this perfect this time around to appeal to enthusiast community. XFX is for the first time selling like hot cake even in US and europe.

BTW nothing, i mean nothing justifies soo high price of ASUS IMHO.

I will agree with you you :cool2: , asus cards are 100$ more

BTW, evga is giving life time warranty on 7800 series

Lifetime is like 3 years :S.

Other company's offer 3 Years too.

So what difference with 3 Years or Lifetime??

Its not like its your Lifetime warranty :P.

Yup Evga along with Sapphire are the best in quality control imho. XFX has improved a lot from its early days. BFG's OC brand i believe is for noobs who are scared to overclock their cards. And since BFG cards are already oc'ed there is no headroom for more. Asus has totally lost it imho, dunno what they are charging the premium for !

^^ Yes I agree. 4 years back my friend (who bought Switch's 6600GT) paid 30k for a ASUS GeForce 4 Ti 4600 with 128MB RAM and TV-Out.

What an awesome card and package that was, even offering 3 year warranty and that time.

Now in India XFX and Gainward RULE...

BTW, XFX's double-lifetime warranty sounds sweet :ohyeah:

Also all 7800GT's are coming with COD2 free now...;)
