Graphic Cards 8600GTS vs X1950XT

Which one is better if DX10 games are played on DX9??...if DX10 games are played on Windows XP then will the game run in DX9 on a DX10 capable card??

Plz suggest an approx prices for these ATI cards

x1950xt/x (256/512 GDDR3)

x1900xt/x (512 GDDR3)

x1950 Pro (256 GDDR3)

Chip rated x1950xt (256 GDDR3) as "best buy" in its class....also the frame rates posted there are worth killing for :P...really wanted to know the prices of these cards...

+ Plz suggest the best cards for around 8K and 12K

Yes if DX10 games are played on Windows XP then the game will run in DX9 even if you have a DX10 capable card. No idea about the prices but yes if you get x1950xt for under 10k then its not a bad buy.
 
^^Ankit Infotech on SP road had a X1950XT on display. On enquiry, he said the price was 14k :S When the 8800 GTS 320 is available for 16.5k, theres no use getting the X1950.

Anyway the best card for around 8k is the 8600 GT, its 6k. For 12k range, if u can get a X1950 pro for 9k or thereabouts its not a bad deal, but the 8800 gts is hands down the best for the price

How much does the 1900xt sell for??...anyone..:)

with 8600gt will i be able to play the upcoming NFS and GTA with high graphics settings (without the AA and AF stuff..:P)??
 
^^Without AA and AF you should do fine, but it depends on the resolution you will be running and also to some extent your cpu and ram. For 1024X768 or 1280X1024 it should run at medium-high settings
 
how bout 19' WS LCD + E6750 + 2GB RAM + 8600 gt ??....can i play next NFS and GTA at highest settings (w/o AA and AF)??...

the sapphire x1950xt (256 GDDR3) sells for around $168 (~Rs. 7720)...is this card available in india??...even if it is 10K i think it is worth the price....
 
^^ Availibity of ATI cards is a pain in India, ask phoenix he imports the stuff, or ask Katmandude...
