Graphic Cards 8800GT breaking all barriers

As i have hear this is the best mid card to buy. my budget is 20k i am living in bangalore should i go for a xfx or are they and better brands.
 
xfx is definitely a good brand..considering ur ready to spend up to 20k why not wait till the new 8800gts cards come out in December??
 
got a xfx 8800GT today for 13.8k's inc :D .. and man am i loving it .. already running it at 700/1750/1900 , 3DMark06 just under 12.5k's :D ... hope this index will get better with newer drivers :D ..
 
^^ for 20k's u'll get a 8800GTS 640 , which is not better than the 512 MB 8800GT ... even the HD3870 is supposed to be around 15k's at most .. now u decide .. u could wait for the new 8800GTS instead ..

pick up a evga 8800gt for around 13-14k its a much better option than the 8800gts which is not as good as the gt
 
^^^^EVGA doesnt sell in India, he is talking about importing it from US which for most of us doesnt apply. Best bet is Galaxy and XFX 8800GT. One of our fellow forum member bought the XFX for 13.8k from calcutta though i bought the same card for 15.5k. So prices are varying in different places.

From hwat I have read even the new 8800 GTS are finding it hard to match 8800GT price/performance ratio.

Which overclocking utlity are you guys using to OC nvidia 8800GT? I am using ATI Tool or Nvidias built in utlity which doesnt allow me to increase the shader clock:@

Rivatuner 2.06 will do the job for you.

XFX 8800GT is still isnt available in Bangalore... i am waiting for one of the vendor in SP Road to call me on its availability... it is slated to arrive in this week itself.. hoping for the best u know... :)
 
psdatta2005 nice to see u here... just 2day i have got the lisp price of XFX 8800GT from one of my retailer in Kolkata...

XFX 8800GT Standard Edition - 13K+VAT
XFX 8800GT Extreme Edition - 14.1K+VAT
XFX 8800GT XXX Edtion - 15.2K+VAT

all products are currently available on selected retail shop in kolkata...

One thing is shady here...I think apart from Rashi there is another XFX distri in Kolkata.....when I went to my hometown (its in North-east) saw a XFX 8600GT which was imported by some Kolkata based distri...so I guess the price diff is due to this...

@deathvirus---can u plz put up a screenie of the card..or even the importer name with full address will do :)
