i called up saboo computers they say that they dunt have the card at all

the guy actually didnt hear about the card...

the guy named is Mr. Partha Bakshi... call upon him .. he told me the price last week... man even i am going to buy the card next week from this store.. believe me..

2 day when i asked he told me extreme and xxx edition will be available on 3rd decemeber onwords but 8800GT standard costs 13K+VAT = 13.52K and it is available right now... cheears

The 8800GT available in Kolkata seems to be nt imported by Rashi peripherals. Plz someone post the importer name printed on the card with some info of them.Rashi is still charging arnd 15k+taxes for the 8800GT compared to 13k by that other importer (Akshay or something)

the xxx and extreme version is not there currently...

just wanted to know will my 500watts powersafe smps be able to handle the card???

my rig is C2d e6600 stock. msi mobo p965neof 250gb+500gb hdd... 2 gig ram

also if it is suitable for my smps should i mess around with oc'ing the card a bit??? or should i just wait for the xxx/extreme version of the card...???

its not more than 5-10% faster that gt but is abt 55-60% more costly

yes ur 500watts powersafe cud handle the 8800gt standard edition but i suggest u 2 wait a bit coz the new 8800gts 512mb will soon to b released on december n it will not be higher than 20K... so just wait n see whether this new nvidia giant cud reach better price/performance than 8800gt ...
