Graphic Cards 8800GTS 320MB SLI performance with Patch1.1 installed?

Hey guys! Just looking forward to see how the 320MB GTS performs in SLI, especially at 1680x1050 and lower.
Please reply!
..And do suggest a suitable monitor for this SLI setup..
Would resolutions below 1680x1050 in a 22" LCD be clear and sharp enough, coz supposing i dont get playable fps at 1680x1050, so will the gameplay look bad in resolutions like 1280x1024 or 1440x900 on a 22" LCD? I'm looking forward to buying the Dell Ultrasharp 2208wfp.
 
For current genre games 320MB GTS SLI would give great performance, except maybe Crysis and WIC. But again 320MB SLI would not be recommended based on its performance vs. price ratio. However if you already have a single card and getting the 2nd card for cheap then its ok. Recommended card certainly will be a single 8800GT which will be able to handle 1680x1050 and lower resolutions comfortably.

Gameplay at non native resolution might seem a bit odd and hence lowering the graphical details is a more recommended solution than lowering the resolution.
 
Hmm.. okay will i be able to get at least 30 fps in crysis with this sli setup in 1680x1050 after oc the gpus? or should i go in for a monitor having native res 1440x900?
 
only 19inch monitors will have a native resolution of 1440x900 and 20inches or above will have 1680x1050, so it depends. I will personally prefer a 22incher with a single 8800GT.

On very high 8800GTS 320MB SLI will really struggle to have 30FPS @ 1680x1050 in Crysis. But still i think you will be able to play smoothly since for smooth play in crysis even 15-20FPS works(except for the occasional stutter)
 
Just downloaded the Crysis Benchmark Tool. Tested on Crysis SP Demo and not the full version. :) . CPU not overclocked. GPU overclocked Core from 513 to 594 MHz and Memory Bus from 792 to 900 MHz. Was surprised with the results!
Single card: At 1680x1050 Win XP 32bit No AA High Settings DX9:
Min fps: 12.67
Max fps: 25.08
Avg fps: 21
Not bad.. so after installing the full game, not to forget, installing the Patch, think i can hope for atleast a 50% gain with SLI, and should get 30fps. :eek:hyeah:
