Graphic Cards 8800GTS help..

Guys...
There is IT event in Singapore from 8-11 and i am planning to buy 8800GTS.
but my budget is 300$ max. i think with this price i will be getting 320MB version only. i can spend some more for additional memory but i wont be having 24 or 30" display and i don't play fear kind of games. i am happy with Age of Empire :)

so please suggest best VFM card. what is cost of 8800GTS 320MB and 640MB in India. i am coming back in April last week to India so should i wait for 8600 series to launch? weather there any chance of price reduction on big guns like 8800GTS / GTX ??
 
The 8800GTS 320MB is roughly 21-22k locally, contact me if interested. I know that's significantly higher than US prices (not sure about S'pore), but it comes with local replacement warranty.

the 320mb will be more than enough for a 20" :D from what I know the gts 320 starts at 470$ sg$. The bigger brands start at 500$
no point waiting for the 8600 they are all 128 bit except for the ultra which is 256bit

but it will be local Singapore warranty so shall i go ahead and get 320one?
any chance of ATI to come with competitive price model. i hope this 320 model give me best bang for moeny. or it would be cheaper to get one from US.
i dont have anybody there so it will be extra shipping and all.
so what is best - India / Singapore / US ??

yeah get it from Singapore :P you dont have anyone coming from the US so then the only other option is SG.

you want to buy it from Inidia for 22k? or 14k from SG ? if you think 8k extra is worth for warranty then buy it locally.
 
you want to buy an 8800gts only to see 10k marks in 3d06?!? For AOE 3, Half Life 2 with all effects high, even a 7600gt will give you ~40-50fps at least at 1280x1024....
spending so much for something which has no use for you, doesn't make sense...its like buying a ship so that you can sail through a lake....think about it
