Graphic Cards 9060 XT 16 / 8 GB

Completely depends on how its priced in India. I am guessing it will be priced around the INR 40K mark. A 7700XT can be found at a lower rate and maybe a better value for your money (if you don't care about RT performance and FSR4).

~39K does feel a tad bit high considering that the 5060 Ti (16 GB) is starting at 45K on a couple of online stores. 36K would have been much better as an perf+mem upgrade for 2060 / 2060 S / 3060 / 3060 Ti users. Perhaps its price will come down a bit, but looking at how relatively static the 9070 XT price has been over past two months, I am not that hopeful.

For 36K, comparative USD pricing should ought to be ~330 USD. The 8 GB model's price would have to lowered then possibly to 250 USD. AMD says that most gamers have no use for more than 8GB of VRAM as they primarily play esports gamers. These people are overwhemingly going to prefer Nvidia, so undercutting the 5060 non-Ti would have been nice.

AMD is trying to screw gamers as much as Nvidia. They had an opportunity to gain market share based on price but just chose to follow the existing pricing structure of undercutting slightly higher performing Nvidia equivalent by $50.

AMD is definitely not looking at cutting their margin for volume. Having a more competitive Intel in this price range would have definitely changed things.

Intel is one upping AMD by undercutting by $25 without having an equivalent.

It indeed should have been 36K or lower but it's AMD. They are being just as greedy as NVIDIA these days. Once in a while they pull a one in a hole but usually they just slightly undercut the pricing according to performance of the competitor. Speaking strictly on the GPU market here as their processors are still great with no downside. (ignore 9800X3D on asrock LOL)

As a 3070 user this card would have been a perfect upgrade if I were to switch to AMD.

Yeah until I watch videos on videos from major tech youtubers about how well ARC GPUs are performing and aging like a wine I'm gonna stay away from them and will recommend others as well. The potential hassle of dealing with bad drivers and compatibility issues is not worth it for a discount. (Remember AMD drivers fiasco in 2010s?)

we are paying only for AI stuff (software based) not for hardware. same as 7700xt or 9070xt sliced in half.

You'll get more VRAM, which is a huge plus.

BUT

A 9060 XT is only around 5% faster than the 3070. Not really much of an upgrade in that department.

Wow. Actual launch price of 35.5K in multiple online stores. And undercutting the the 5060 Ti by almost 10K. This is probably one of the best launch prices we have seen in years in India.

For people on the fence, I have been using 9070 XT and can definitely vouch for FSR4's quality and Optiscaler's really nice to get FSR4 on more games.
