for quiet sometime i was having problem with my ipod nano 3g battery and even my creative ep-630's right ear piece wasnt working properly.

as i stay in Seawoods(Navi Mumbai) i was avoiding going traveling 1-2 hrs to Mumbai to get the stuff RMA'ed .

yesterday i had some work in college..in chembur i decided to go to the following places and get rid of the RMA work.

1)Maple Services (authorized apple services)

Linking road,Bandra

2)CyberStar Info comm. pvt. ltd.(Creative distributor)

Sanjay Appa Chambers,

Dr. Charat Singh Colony,

New Chakala Link Road,

Andheri (East).

after finishing my college work in chembur i directly took a bus to bandra and went to linking road ,bandra...

the maple services people were very co-operative guys and asked me to get a case id from apple's main customer care no.i did that and as it was gonna take 20-30 mins for CC to notify mapple services about my case id.

i did some small shopping @ stores in bandra :P

and then went back to apple service centre...and submitted the ipod for service\replacement :).These guys even had Mac book Air on display ..and it was nice of them that they let me go through it for almost 20-30 mins i was sitting there.

really nice guys and happy to help :P

i was just amazed by the ultra slim and light weight Mac book air :O. totally loved it.

till here everything was fine...now starts da bad part of the day.

from bandra i headed towards andheri looking for Cyberstar infocom's office.

even though i took a fast local from bandra to andheri..

it was a very tiring and horrible journey ...

specially finding that bloody..charat singh colony and sanjay appa chambers took me 30-40 mins after reaching andheri stn.

it was getting worse because of the hot and humid climate ..and me sweating like anything :(

and finally when i find the place..and go to the third floor i find that ..

the door is locked ..and the cyberstar infocom office has been closed\shifted long back.:(

i was totally pissed of and disappointed ...cause by the end of all this i was having back\shoulder pain due to traveling around so much ..

and there was a bit of swelling on my thigh's ..:(

took a auto straight to andheri stn and came back home traveling another 90 mins in a totally jam packed train.

at the end of the day i was totally tired and had swelled legs/thighs and unable to walk properly ..

PS :

the creative ep-630 i have were bought in december from a GO arranged by gauravt

the distributor was cyberstar infocom.

though gaurav was suppose to be provide as with bills ..he wasnt able to as he got busy with plans to go abroad ..and even the total number of orders were very large for providing bill to everyone..

anywayz it didnt matter as he had said that only the sticker on the box and warranty card is required for replacement purposes.

now i want to know ..how can i get my ep-630 replaced ?? anyone else who had bought the ep-630 from gaurav's GO and had problem with their headphones might have a clue ??

the thing that i hated the most is that the cyberstar india people havent updated the address of mumbai office on thier site

though it has been shifted very long back...that is so wrong.. and because of it i had to travel extra 3 hours and return empty handed :( :(

anyone having any info regarding cyberstar infocom pvt. ltd's working contact number or new office address please help me out :huh:

CONCLUSION :

why dont distributors \companies have better Customer care\support in India..i mean there's so much difference..

at one side there was this apple customer care which handled everything smoothly and at the other hand there's

creative\cyberstar infocomm ...who have their office in some small flat like thing in appa chambers .. that too they close down and dont even bring the necessary changes on their site.

anyways hope someone else who was gonna get his ep-630 RMA'ed from this place is saved by this piece of info.

 
ahhh pathetic.....n not to talk abt rashi....service:no:
had my mobo conked off n now its been a mnth since m ringin em up n they givin excuses....cant even go fire em at rashi centre..coz we dun hav asus service at baroda:@ ..

so all i can do is call em at ahmd centre n feed em....:( ....
this is how d story goes..
1. had my mbo with restartin probs n hdd detection
2. sent it to ahmd rashi, got it back in a week fixed(acc to them)
3. workd fine till prob came again...found out tht nf4 chip is weak due to overheating so sent it back to em....
4. no response til few days calld em...they ans tht their cpu blew off on my mbo:rofl: so they sent it to mumbai rashi
5. after another two weeks had no. of calls n then one day they say since its bought frm delhi...it will b given to digicom distributors...(even though mbo was frm rashi itself...):@
6. another week passd calld digicom they refrain they didnt get ny mobo in my name:(
7. calld rashi ahmd again....now they tell it was given to bangalore rashi n its couriered back to em on 29-4...by sme RMX courier service..:huh:

conclusion: neva buy stuff frm rashi.....:no:
 
as common with them, one earbud's (generally the left one from my experiance) volume goes down by more than 50%

tried calling @ their 3-4 local numbers ...most of them are out of service and the one which worked.. a woman answered a said

"cyberstar's no. has changed " :(

will shoot a mail to the local service as well as HO and even try calling at the HO in chennai.Let's see..will post the response in this thread.
 
imo gaurav got all teh 630's from Prime.. you could call them up and try talking to them.. if not replace it, they'll surely know the contact for cyberstar

the EP problem can be fixed.. i read it on some forums and tried it on mine and restored the volume in the earpiece with a lower volume.

i sent mail to cyberstar infocom customer care.. through 2 different email ids.

and i get tow totally different addresses\replies.

will be helpful for anyone else looking for the new cyberstar infocom mumbai office.

anyways will call up on the number and check out which one is the RMA centre.

any one has an idea which one from goregaon address and lamington address will be nearer from nerul\navi mumbai..

and any idea on how to get there ??
 
take a train to dadar.. then one to lamington/andheri.. guess lamington should be closer.. coz its very near the station.
 
aaaah....I didnt know one of the TE members came to one of my shops in Bandra. Yup the place (maple) in Bandra is mine. Sad to hear about the incident though. Mac works differently then others. Believe it or not, Apple U.S. wont honour warranty or service if their standards of apple which is assessed after a month. Dont be suprised, they want perfection till the colour of the switch. The bubb who owns the maple label had to go through 6 months of furniture re-construction, a month after the grand opening- Apple did not like the layout of the store and they complained that switches are supposed to be either white or black.

The difference is in ethics I guess. Some distributors have it, some are greatly misguided people.

even i didnt know that you owned the place :P or else wouldve met you incase you are around the place..but i guess you work elsewhere.
anyways i am coming there maybe on thursday again after my CET entrance test which is again in bandra..
so incase you are there i would be glad to meet you.:D

Maple guys was really good to me i really liked the place..only problem they kept asking me if you wanted to buy this and that ...the girl there showed me a arm band for the nano..and i really liked it ...infact thought of buying it if it was around 700-1000..
then i checked the price it was 2400 :O

coming to the service of these guys ..it was awesome... first they asked me to get the case id..from customer care phone no. and after that just checked the ipod ..nothing was wrong in the software part..it was working perfectly out there...
so i told him the only problem is lower battery life (12-14 hrs instead of ~20 hrs )
they said they will check and call me to give the update.

next day they call me and tell me that i am getting a replacement by Wednesday as there's a minor problem with battery.

and today(Monday) they call me and say my brand new ipod is ready :).
now that's called great service.:hap2:

PS: i had bought my ipod from indiaplaza for 6500(actually free) so i was afraid that it maybe a grey piece imported from US ..as official indian price for same is 7500+
so i though apple india may not honour the warranty..but they did

now the one only thing i need to do to get my audio bliss back is ep-630 replacement.
 
They flash iphone firmware as well. For a price. Ask them, they should know someone because they deal with different distributors. The number is 022-26499628. They're on rental basis but we know eachother since both the shops are there opposite to each other.
