This is a\strictly budget oriented

Hey ... I've bought a PC for 15k a month back. It was for my cousin's office use. So got everything under 15k....

15" LCD - AOC - 4.9k

Asus M2N68-AMPLUS - 2.4k

Sempron 140 Processor - 1.9k

DVD Writer - 1k

Zebronics Singh Cabinet with SMPS - .9k

Logitech Keyboard and Mouse set - .7k

2GB DDR2 RAM - 1.9k

250 GB SATA HD - 2k

Total - 15.8k

Bought from Sethia Infotech, Riche St...

^ Seems good.

Your grandparents probably wont have good eyesight. Spend the 2k more and buy a bigger screen.

right.:hap2:get atleast 24 inch screen.

AMD Athlon II - 240(2.9k) + Biostar A785GE(3.2k) - 6.1k
2GB Transcend 800MHz DDRII RAM - 1.9k
250GB Seagate 7200.12 HDD- 1.9k(Not much difference b/w 160GB and 250GB prices)
LG/Samsung DVD R/W - 1.1k
Zebby cabinet with PSU - 1.4k
Logitech KB+Mouse - 0.6k
Acer 19" - 6.2k
So this comes to around ~18k. Think its your max budget but if you plan to play play HD then go for this config. Decent sized monitor for watching HD. No use watching a HD video in 15" screen ;) If no HD videos then go for Asus M2N68-AMPLUS(2.3k) mobo and 1 GB of RAM and save 1.5-1.7k. Go for at least a dual core so the system remains quite decent for at least 3 years.
