Hmmm, some people thought i was selfish etc because i made my first post on an invites thread....sorry, i didnt know it mattered where u introduced yourself.... lets start again...

Im aishwarya....or ash will do. Im 19, medical student from manchester,uk. I've got a confession though, im not super good at computers and stuff, but i'd like to know more....learn a bit more about them. I come from a whole family full of doctors,so theres no one i really know who can talk to me bout comps etc.

Is that ok? or is this site only for pros and not for people who'd like to know more??

I have a toshiba laptop...hmm lets see?

That 504MB indicated 8MB shared graphics and 512 MB RAM...

You are most probably a guy though, i think so!!:)

AFAIK, 1.6Ghz is the speed of your processor(Generally faster the better) and 504MB is the available 'system memory/RAM' in your lappy!!
Its 512MB most probably and available for use is 504MB, in your case!!

And now you have TE and us to talk to about computers:) - so you will either hang around forever or run away due to our PC craze!!:rofl:

right, tell you guys a bit more about me.....im NOT a guy, very much a female.....ash is for aishwarya.

I was born in pune...but i live in england now....
I'm a first year medical student, so i havent really specialised in anything....but i have a large number of thick fat ugly books, so i'll stil be able to find answers to all your medical needs...'dont worry', hahaha!

Oh and ive just figured out what you guys meant when u said noob...haha, how slow am i?!

Hobbies....hmmm, i play the guitar, badly....spend a LARGE amount of time on the internet....love being with family and friends.....i do flamenco dancing.....love movies, esp. hindi.....music.....talking....sleeping....eating.....sleeping some more.....playing poker online! hehe....etc etc etc

Im 19....i like to use these dotty things a lot.....oh and i LOVE the tv program 'lost'. i saw the dvd collection in delhi when i went this time...so they must show it in india too, does anyone watch??

im a pretty fast typer, probably why this post is soooo long.....
my coolest new piece of gadget is.....sony 6GB MP3 player...its a beauty...
