Title says it all.Cost should be ard.25-27k..not more.He is not into gaming.needs this computer for doing regular office work,watching occasional movies(regular dvds not HD ones),that's it!!So integrated graphics will be more than enough.Would love an lcd(if it fits the bill!) and since he likes listening to good music, so suggest a decent speaker system.

Pls. only suggest relaible brands that are long lasting and are readily available.(eg.For an intel cpu, an intel mobo would be preferable as they last long even though they can't be overclocked as much as asus mobos or don't offer as many features)

Ofcourse he won't overclock.

Also he would love to transfer data between his bluetooth enabled phone and PC using bluetooth.So is there any cheap solution available?? Will this product work??IT-Depot

And finally pls. don't suggest any asus products as their after sales service is crap.

These components cost approximately Rs 17500
Adding a 17" lcd monitor ( Samsung 740N) (10000 rs approx) takes the system cost to Rs 27500.

The bluetooth adapter will work fine no problems.

I'm no expert in this so do wait for others to pitch in as well:)
 
-500 as most modern mobos come with onboard LAN :p

-1000 as ordinary cabby + psu for 1.5K is more than enough..

remember to insist on good RAM :)

+2500 for UPS! (APC?)

the bluetooth adapter should be available locally :)

since we're at the 17 inch LCD level, show your friend a 19 inch widescreen LCD and tell him its his for 2k more . should be hugely useful for his movie viewing needs , and help in productivity too :)

Now will this " Zebronics Class - 10 Models" (Rs.1200~1400) cabby be enough for his needs??

Which mobo should he go for?-- Jetway ATI690G (Rs.3500) OR Jetway nF6100 (Rs. 2900)
Monitor i thing, he would be happy with Viewsonic 17" Wide Screen (Rs.8550).I doubt he would even find a 19 inch lcd in his town/village:D:D

Which dvd writer is that ?:p

Go for LG H42N.shld be arnd 1.7k.

Nothing beats ATP3 as far as speakers in its category.

So what do you think abou this config.?? Pls. say something about the cabby.Whether it's gud enough or not?? Also what about this mobo?? I know it's a feature packed mobo but will it last long?? How's is Jetway's after sales service ??

if your friend is getting the above config from a village/ town, prices will tend to be on the higher side , also availability might be an issue :(

^^Nope i am working in baroda now.But i will be going there(tvm) tomorrow to bring back my doggy:D:D Anyway my friend lives in a village near kannur. I don't think the price diff. will be more than 2k max.But ya some products may not be available.Esp. that mobo. So suggest some more decent mobos.
