Hello Everyone!!!

I am going to upgrade my PC with a new GPU & RAM by Monday 7th Feb 2012. So i need you to suggest some good PSUs within my budget.

My PC Specifications are(after upgrading):

Intel DG 31PR MOBO

Dynet 2Gb DDR2(old) + Dynet 2Gb DDR2(new)

Core2Duo 2.66Ghz E7300

250Gb Samsung HDD + 640Gb Transcend 2.5" External HDD

Ati Radeon HD 6770 1Gb(new)

Creative SoundBlaster Audigy Value Live

LG DVD R/W

Samsung Syncmaster 943NWX Resolution: 1440x900

Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

The vendor first suggested me with i-Ball 600W SMPS @Rs2800 but warned me that it is not a True SMPS (i don't know what that means).

Then he suggested CoolerMaster 460W SMPS @ Rs3400 but when i calculated my expected Power Requirement from a website it mentioned around 330W. Also other friends suggested that 460W is not enough for my specifications.

I don't have any hardware knowledge. Please guide me.

Thanks!!!

For your budget Seasonic s12ii 430w-3.1k is the best choice and you can get that here-http://www.theitware...pply-p-601.html

If you can add few bucks then Seasonic s12ii 520w-3.7k is long term option.

But will it be enough to support my configuration?

Someone suggested that i shouldn't get a PSU of less than 500W as below that my configuration won't be supported

Yes sir Seasonic s12ii 430w will be enough,i myself have HD6850 running on VX450w psu,so HD6770 will run easily on 430w psu, hope this clears the thing out.

OK thanks a ton.

One last thing. You mentioned for long term, consider 520W. What's wrong with the 430W?

Well what i meant by 520w psu was if you upgrade your gpu then 520w psu will be enough for you and you can keep that for long term, but 430w psu will be fine for you.

+1 for Seasonic S12II 430/520W. Both are excellent PSU's for their price
