A mosquito usually flies about randomly until it encounters a warm and wet convection current. The mosquito will try to stay in such a current, moving upwind. If it should begin to move out of current, the moquito turns in order to find the current again. Usually, the turn permits the moquito to trace the current to its source. This is how a mosquito behaves when it is searching for a host. Once we know this, we can look at how a repellent deflects the attack.
