Has to be routing issues then i guess.
Sorry but no if its a routing issue, as its at the ISP side and cannot be fixed at your end.pretttt said:Yea, but can anything be done from my end to fix this? No point talking to BSNL, no one would have an idea of what I am talking. Still, its ok. I'm fine with 256kbps connection only. It is not capped, so its good for TF2 and getting some work done.
i'm kinda guessing - but if u check ur ip - the 256k one will start with 59.xx.xx.xx and the 2mbps one will start with 117.xx.xx.xx - when i had the 59.xx.xx.xx line, my pings were stable, since i got the new line starting with 117, pings have been hopelessly phucked.pretttt said:BSNL connection to Starhub is quite weird. I have two connections at home both BSNL, one is a 2mbps and another one 256kbps. Weird thing is that the 2mbps connection gives hopeless pings like >300 at best and generally 400+. The 256kbps one gives pings of ~60-70.
The 59.xx IPs are from the old NIB when it was called DataOne.Aman27deep said:i'm kinda guessing - but if u check ur ip - the 256k one will start with 59.xx.xx.xx and the 2mbps one will start with 117.xx.xx.xx - when i had the 59.xx.xx.xx line, my pings were stable, since i got the new line starting with 117, pings have been hopelessly phucked.
The old one is NIB 1 and the new one is NIB 2, i know that. And yeah i agree. I hope reliance takes over BSNL man, their routing is awesome.saumilsingh said:The 59.xx IPs are from the old NIB when it was called DataOne.
They shifted to 117.xx when they became BSNL Broadband.
Also, I seriously think that they like to change their routing randomly just to piss people off.
yeah, like the BC2 Indian RCDC server, its very popularpinarina said:we should start playing on Indian servers more than Starhub...need to make this game popular here.
