Spent the whole night yesterday trying to figure out how to get rid of this son of a b!tch from my system

I am not even sure if it has been removed yet.

GUYS PLEASE BE CAREFUL....

If anyone else has had a similar experience please share how you rectified it.
I used brute force by locating and deleting files and registry entries :ashamed:

one lesson this shud teach u is that never to download any n every software off the net....
google abt the software first so u don't have a head ache later!
almost all the softwares which u ain't ever heard of,usually suck even if that's not a rogue one...

^^^ Mate the lesson is to use facebook carefully. I got it over facebook.
Havent had a virus attack on my laptop ever as I always used *ahem*
version of kaspersky. Now that I am in UK i cant use that. Still have
downloaded the same and started the 30 day trial :P

I use official Windows and have updates enabled. This thing installed all by
itself without any dialogues. Even the F***ing uninstaller asks for money :@

in such cases, restore point helps. but if it did not took your permission, If so i believe you were running as an admin, so first thing to avoid this is to not run as admin as that will give you a prompt while installing.

Try restoring it to some previous restore point, windows generally creates one with every installation and uninstallation, that should help.

Thanks

Aditya

if you want to try on new softwares, you can try it virtually in a a virtual pc. For that you can use virtual pc or vmware.

These Ransomware programs are the new scurge of the internet. My dad managed to get one of them on his computer. Luckily Malwarebytes removed this nuisance quite easily.

OP: Have you tried this software? If you haven't run it once anyway as it sometimes detects even faint traces lest behind by ransomware.
