A query about SanDisk Dual OTG drives

Hi, I just got my Moto X and I wanted to buy one of those Dual OTG drives by SanDisk because of low space, but I have a query, if I plug that thing to my phone, and I unplug it while in the middle of a download, then can I re-plug that drive back and resume the paused downloading file, or will it corrupt it?

yes, there is a possibility of corrupting files (and the usb drive) if the usb drive is unplugged during the
download. suggestion is to NOT pull out usb drive while working with it. it needs to be unmounted ..
