The flash chat feature is rarely or never used by anyone here...mainly cause that would require to open a seperate page where the activity happens..

So i thought . .. how abt implementing the flashchat such that it is similar to the pic below

this way many peopel will be able to use the flashchat at the same time browse the other threads..

  • a space is exclusively alloted for flashchat at every page.../the normal threads
  • this is updated every second...making chat window visible to all the members browsing any thread
  • mainly make use of the feature
just my 2 cents...:P

very good idea.. alas can't do. flashchat is notorious for excessiver server usage and having it as a shoutbox will cripple the server. infact thats the reason we didn't add the shoutbox also

yea.. if you guys donate a bit we can always get a powerful server.

lol a lot of things are possible on te which we don't do cos we have to always consider the server impact. top end dedicated hosting costs a lot and we don't generate enough funds to get that

I regularly visit another forum which has exactly what you are talking about - here is a screen capture from that forum....
