Finally got a dream laptop The dell XPS M1330 after chasing through the reviews for around 2 months and then praying for the order not to be delayed I finally got it on Oct 3rd.

The specs include

- 4gb DDR2 Ram :hap2: (ya I know if I am running 32 bit makes no sense :tongue: )

- lcd Screen with WLED backlight.

- 160 GB 7200 sata2 hdd

- slot loading dvd drive

- 9 cell battery free upgrade :clap:

Sorry forgot the main stuff : Nvidia Geforce 8400GS 128 MB .

ps: costed a bomb though but worth it..;)
 
Congrats, what did you pay for it because I'll be ordering it for my bro in the next month...
 
congrats awesome purchase. A friend has the older 12.1" one. This is so much better.

and video solution? Onboard or 8400GS?

Congrats !! the older one was a hot favourite among TEites.....This one looks to be just as good (apart from the paint issues).

I went for a T7500 2.2GHZ and 4mb cache one. Pics on its way just stuck up with way too assignment submissions..:(
 
@ Bhargav: U didnt get any discounts on the retail price? A friend of mine has ordered the same model but a slightly lower config. The price came to 72k on the website and as he's getting employee discount thru his friend, he's paying 59.9k or so. Even Raghunandan and Cappuccino here could help one get good deals for Dell products :ohyeah:

and such a laptop I wudnt put it on the floor, even for pics.. even if its uber wooden floor :P
 
I could have got it with an employee discount but since it would cost me a lot to get it shipped to melbourne I rather buy it here.The over all configuration would come up to around 1+ lac in India and I got it for around 80k so it still is cheaper and moreover I paid it off in $$ .. so I guess it was worth it..:)
 
Congrats, man. Can't afford the lappy I would want, but the one you've got hits the sweet spot! Congrats again!
