ATI Technologies has introduced its CrossFire Xpress 3200 chipset, which promises to deliver the fastest Gen-Next gaming platform.

ATI says that the CrossFire Xpress 3200 chipset is developed for multi-GPU gaming, and combines the world's fastest gaming performance with advanced over-clocking capabilities, and rock-solid stability - the kind found in an AMD-based PC motherboard.

The CrossFire Xpress 3200 chipset boasts of unrestricted dual x16 PCI Express performance, and architecture that facilitates greatly advanced game play - either whilst gaming with two Radeon X1900 XTX graphics cards, or with two Radeon X1600 graphics cards.

CrossFire Xpress 3200 chipset hardware is geared to allow up to 60 percent over-clocking of the chipset, with stock cooling - and at default voltages. In effect gamers can customize their gaming experience - the way they desire.

Raymond Chen, vice president - marketing, Asus USA, said, "Building the world's best enthusiast PC platform requires three things - a chipset that delivers best gaming performance, the highest and most flexible over-clocking capabilities, and unparalleled stability. As a solid ATI partner, Asus is delivering a CrossFire Xpress 3200 motherboard today - the Asus A8R32-MVP - and ushering in a new feature-rich era of multi-GPU gaming."

Rajshekhar Bhatt, country sales manager, ATI India, said, "The introduction of ATI's CrossFire Xpress 3200 chipset-the first single chip with 32 PCI Express lanes-is a defining milestone for the PC platform. Unlocking a universe of performance and over-clocking options on the motherboard along with dual-GPU support for ATI's X1000 series of graphics cards, CrossFire Xpress 3200 is the backbone of the world's fastest and most versatile gaming platform."

Asus' new A8R32 MVP Deluxe motherboard is based on ATI's CrossFire Xpress 3200 chipset, and is immediately available through Asus distributors at a suggested retail price of around Rs 13,500.
