Hi Al;;
I have a Nvidia 8800GTS from EVGA(Non OC).I am usind Windows Vista.Its working well and the drivers are Nvidia 158.45.The CPU temperature is 58 degrees(idle) which seems a lot higher considering the fact tht the CPU temp is 32(idle) and HDD temp is 33(idle).From nvidia control panel,the fan control is greyed out.Isnt it too hot compared to other things?

Any way to reduce it?

Thnx for all suggestions

GPU temp @58 idle is not very bad ...
mine is 61 idle. use rivatuner and check what is the temp under load.
it should not cross 70-75.

don't worry about that temp. its normal. danger level for Nvidia is 85-95+
for ATI its bit high...:D 105+ (exp of my old x1800xt)

Yeah 58 idle temp for the 8800GTS is not that bad ... i got the same card and it's in the same range ... you can adjust the fan speed through RivaTuner

huh... my 6600GT never crossed 70 :)
and i haven't seen any card specially like 6600GT to cross 100.
anyway you are then lucky.... i don't know exact temp level for GFX which can damage them. but 100+ and that too for 6600GT is scary man...
