about logitech z5500

hii guys....i am new to the forum.
i have query about the logitech Z5500 .
is it a better option for pc speaker as comparing to creative.
i have a creative xfi usb 5.1 sound card using in my laptop.
please suggest that which will be better and please if possible say me the price and where can i get it in bhubaneswar or kolkata.
 
the quote "is it better than creative" dont have a proper meaning.

coz there are other expensive creative ones too which betters the Z5500 [like the gigaworks 7.1]

And yes, if u were mentioning bout Creative speakers at same price class....z5500 is simply the best in that price class.

There are some other brands which are equally good at same price, but availability is a BIG problem.
 
i am saying ....among creative gigawork 5.1 series and logitech z5500 which will be better .

if possible pls say me the price .................
 
among gigaworks ProGamer G500 and Z5500, I would pick Z5500. as per user opinions, G500 is not that great and it has slight issues with treble and many have reported slight hissing sound.

I prefer movies and also music.............i have a lot of 5.1 avi & mkv movie files along with a lot of music videos of this quality saved in my laptop. I have also the creative xfi usb sound card connected with it........so is the sound will be much better ....currently i am using a intex 5.1 speaker system...
 
pls guys inform me that how much change i will notice if i will use logitech z5500 with creative 5.1 usb sourround card . now i am using a intex 5.1 speker system with this sound card ....pls guys atlest reaply....u guys are not replying...........

If you are using Intex speakers now, the difference will be huge.. Have no doubts about it.

There are a few things that you have to keep in mind about Z5500.. The bass is not very tight if you have any such preferences. I reduce the bass a little if listening to music, but this is only me. In movies I have no complaints about it, at all. The same is the case with games. As vb86 pointed out, use the optical cable if possible. My X-fi does not have an optical cable on the pci card but only on the extension front panel. So, I am running it with the discrete connections.
 
but i think the creative usb 5.1 gives stereo sound by optical(toslink)........so is it better to connect via optical orelse i will prefer to connect 6 channel directly
 
Hmm... I don't quite remember. One of the audio encoding type only shows up in optical mode. (DTS 5.1?? I am not sure).
