dear mods, is there anyway i can know the status of my post, once i submit & before it is moderated & posted on the portal.

like i had posted about kazaa in p2p forums, but just realised i can also post in news section, so i asked mods to delete it. but now i dont know the status of my kazaa post for news section. so neither i have the news post nor the p2p post :(

so is there anyway we can see a queue list or something to monitor what's the status of our submitted news post :)

p.s - just today i realised i can post in news section :no: i suck.
 
I'm not sure how the list of threads in the Latest Technology News category looks to you , but for me I get a list of approved and "Moderated" posts. Have just approved your news item. :)

no man, not lucky as you guys, i dont get anything, so until you approve, i'm in dark about my post, that's why i asked :(

also, once you approve it, the post should also appear in the portal main page right, cause i dont see mine(kazaa post) yet on the portal page.
 
^ Ok, just learned from Blade_Runner (thanks man) - that you're supposed to fill up ALL the fields in the News article.. else it does not get put up on the main page when one of us approves it ! :)

Will try editing your news article to do the needful.
 
dear mods, i have one request to make, this is regarding news section.

after everytime i post in news section, i have waited literally for many hour's or a day(i understand you guys are busy) for it to be moderated. in the meantime i dont even know if i posted it right or not, i am in absolute darkness about my post. i am not even sure if it's reaching you, as sometimes i dont get that "thankyou for posting tab, your browser would automatically be redirected".

so the least i expect is let my post appear in latest technology news sub section then you can moderate on it & decide whether it should appear on main portal page or not. atleast i know i posted, because right know i am not even sure if i posted right, wrong etc. so all i am saying is let it appear somewhere :)
 
Well it appears in the news section of the forums mate ! That is basically the same thing as the portal and the format is the same as it appears on the forums. Also stop using the quote tag and post the news in entirety and aviod using smileys. Thanks for posting.
 
just a suggestion ....

the posts that are not approved to be in the news(latest tech) news section ... can be transferred to chatterbits section (or the section they fit).
 
there has been a problem posting in news section.

browser takes forever & ever to post the article, tried all opera, ie, ff.

it seems to get stuck, so not sure if you guys are getting double posts.

occasionally, after waiting for 5-10 minutes i get thank you for posting or i get error, or page remains stuck.

p.s - did not start a new thread cause it still is about news section.
 
Yes, whenever I try to post to the news section it is slow, but overall site has been slow for me since last night.
