Maybe u should list down all the questions in one thread rather than opening thread for each & every query.
by the way, once u jail break it, when u add repositories, you get many software's which can be installed & they have screen-shots as in how it works, including remote desktop.

which firmware version does the ipod have, if its 3.1.2 then jailbreak it with blackra1n, then install cydia, then follow tutorials posted here for installing themes/games...... if your ipod is brand new and has os 3.1.3 you can only install games by purchasing them from the app store, no themes.

You need credit card and itunes. Install itunes, connect your ipod touch, register a new account using your credit card and start downloading applications. they will be automatically synced to ipod touch. Even if you want to download free apps, you still need to register your ccard.
