Accessing ID/Pass on Airtel modem?

Hello,

Need some help guys. Im sick of using Internet only while everyone in my house has left. Cause I've got to remove the modem from my sister's room and connect to the parallel connection in my room.

Since I'm banned from using Internet, one of the TE member suggested me to get the ID/PASS from that modem and buy another modem and use that modem for accessing Internet. But how do I do it ?

So far I did these -> 192.168.1.1 typed default ID/PASS and then entered and found Default gateway,DNS server, etc... Beetel 110BXI

Anyone , Please guide me on how to get the ID/pass and can I just buy any modem ? It's christmas time and I don't want to sit here without Internet T_T

you will have to change the MAC address of the modem , i would suggest not doing it ...why dont you put a wireless router in the sisters room and share the connx?
 
internet wont work on both the places with paralllel connection.....after the above goto WAN and edit connection>>Next>>You will find your phoneno and pwd (accountno) .. right click on page and view sourvce
 
Well, Wireless sounds nice but they won't allow me to use the Internet in the first place. So I've got to resort to such drastic measures.

My sister uses like 1 hour a day ? Rest of the time its completely idle. So that's not a problem , I'd just switch off when she's wants to go online.

I did this and I did manage to find out the ID but the password in is stars "******. Tried view page source can't find anything there.
