Accounting software to manage Society Accounts ??

My Dad is managing the accounts of the building where we stay. He is currently using a DOS based software to do the accounting work. We are looking for a windows based accounting software to manage society accounts.
Any pointers in this regard will be highly appreciated

Try gnucash. It is easy to use (relatively), opensource, and free. Good forum with helpful people, in case you're stuck.

^^ I understand that it is not very popular in India (tally is the only popular s/w), but this is good enough for most organizations.

If you're a open source fan, go for GNU Cash, else go for Tally, which will do fine.

Or else there are other options like Busy Win, Microsoft Accounting Express, Peachtree, etc.
