Acer 22'' LCD @ 10.3k .

Bah, it's 1680 x 1050. BenQ E2200HD (which should be available in the market starting today or tomorrow) is a MUCH better buy for the same price.

Go around Nehru Place (or similar market in your city if not Delhi) - I don't really have an inside source. Just a couple of shops (and some area head from BenQ) confirmed that it will be available somewhere between Monday (today) and Wednesday.

never buy acer lcd they r not good even when I got my viewsonic lcd from prime.I asked swapnil abt acer one and he said never go with acer lcds market report is not good.

dude the native res of a 22inch is 1680 only if benq increased res to 1920 does not mean other lcd are bad and where r u getting a e2200hd for 10.3k do let us know asap:bleh: .

Well it's 10.3 + shipping. So let's say it's 11K. BenQ should be around 12K. Comparable I would say, but if you want to be nitpicky, Rs. 1,000 is more than worth it to get fullHd over 1050.

And I don't know what you mean by "the native res of a 22inch is 1680 only." Size has got nothing to do with resolution. 22" monitors can even be 800x600 if the manufacturer is dumb enough to do that.

And as for other lcds being bad - no, it doesn't mean that other lcds are "bad." But it does mean that the BenQ is superior for (almost) the same price.

Industry standard has nothin to do with it mate :) Just means most companies were getting 22" 1680 panels for cheaper as these are in mass production. The higher res one should actually be better if its almost same price.

H@cker, your statement is unclear.

If you are saying that people prefer 1680x1050 over 1080p, then I think you are mistaken. If you got 400ml of coke at the same price for 500ml of coke, which one would you go for?

If you are saying that 1680x1050 is "industry standard" then that is exactly what I am criticizing - that with 720 and 1080 in place, there was no need to invent a 1050 standard.

To sum up:
Acer: 1680x1050 for Rs. 11K (not very many reviews)
BenQ: 1920x1080 for Rs. 12K (excellent reviews)

I think the choice is pretty clear. So I repeat : "Bah, It's 1680x1050 only."

I am saying the latter one dude and what I was saying is that when most 22 incher lcd are 1680X1050 only then there;s no need to say "Bah, It's 1680x1050 only."Ahh if it was 1280X1024 res on a 22incher than ur statement would do justice.

What I am saying is that the industry is short-sighted, and should have jumped from 1280x1024 to 1920x1080 straight.. there was no need for 1680x1050.
