Laptops Acer 5738G with ati mobility 4570

I have acer 5738G with ati mobility 4570 512mb GDDR3

The problem is
ati 4570 mobility by default has memory speed of 800MHz but ati catalyst on me laptop shows memry speed of 500 mhz only
i tried GPU-Z it also shows defalut clock 800mhz but current 500 mhz and message that current low speed is for low power consumption.:huh:

i want to know how can i increase it back to 800 mhz and will there be any heating problems at higher memory clock...:S

Here are the two possible reasons:

1. You were testing it on battery and in the power saver mode.

2. The card or processor doesn't use the its complete efficiency unless it is required to save power. But when you, say, play games the clock speed with increase to its maximum limit as and when required.

I was testing on power supply

Also i tried to max out GPU using by NFS shift and GPU- z in back ground. Still GPU-Z showed maximum memory clock of 500 mhz only.

One other thing MIGHT be a problem too.
My gfx card has dedicated GDDR# 512 mb and hyper memory upto 1791 mb.
It always consumes 1gb of ram such that dxdiag shows only 3066 mb of ram(even though system has 4 gb) maybe this hyper memory is the problem
 
^^ that might be because u r using a 32 bit os.. it doesn't recognize 4gb of ram.. hence it shows only 3gb..
 
does NFS shift runs on your lappy fine?? , on my dell studio with the same gpu it hangs just after starting the race :confused:
 
Can you post the full config (including OS) of the 5738G laptop you bought please ? And its current market price including taxes and delivery ?
