Laptops Acer Aspire 5738 HDD Heats Up

Hi All,

I got an Acer Aspire 5738 ( C2D 6600 , 4GB RAM and 320 GB HDD) recently and installed Win XP SP3

Everything else running fine but the HDD temp ( i got WD 320GB HDD Scorpio Blue model HDD ).

General temp is around 52 C and goes upto 55 C under load.

My office Dell D630 is only going upto 40C in same environment n Desktop with WD 640 Blue AAKS is showing around 34 C ..

Am kinda worried ( Using HWMonitor 1.14 to check temp )

Since lots of people got this laptop in TE, whats the HDD temp you are getting..

yup ive got the acer 5738z and the HDD temp is usually around the 50 mark.

am running some benchmarks currently and the 320 GB scorpio blue in the aspire 5738 is going upto 55 C . This is too high ...

Which hDD do u have in ur laptop and how high it goes when stressed ?
