Acer has launched their 7" budget Android tablet, the Acer Iconia Tab A110. Packing a quad-core processor and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, Acer has set out to fight Google's Nexus 7.

The Acer Iconia Tab A110

The Acer Iconia Tab A110 is really power packed under the hood. Let's have a look:
  • 7" WSVGA (1024x600) capacitive display
  • 1.2 GHz Tegra 3 Quad Core
  • GeForce ULP GPU
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 8 GB internal storage
  • upto 32 GB expandable micro SD card
  • micro-HDMI port
  • $230 price tag

Packing a slower 1.2 GHz Tegra 3 quad-core CPU, the Acer Iconia Tab A110 has plenty of power to run all apps and games like a breeze (aided by the 1 GB of RAM). The display resolution has dropped from (1280x800) on the Nexus 7 to (1024x600). You can even expand upon the internal storage, and the tablet has a micro-HDMI port as well (both not present on the Nexus 7).

The sweetest part is the price tag, which is just $230. The tablet should launch in India (if it does) for around Rs. 15,000 making it a very good value-for-money product.
