Acer has been quiet off late. With no new launches of products, we were beginning to wonder what happened to this company. Acer has unveiled their first new smartphone after their Cloud Mobile S500. The Acer Liquid E1 is a mid range smartphone, however it's specifications don't really leave you wanting more. The smartphone looks good as a bonus too! Maybe the low battery might put off some.
Acer Liquid E1

Powered by a dual core processor (of unknown make) and Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean out of the box, the Acer Liquid E1 with it's 4.5" qHD display and excellent looks screams for attention in the mid range market, and it rightly deserves so too. We simply are in love with the curvy design of the Liquid E1, and you will be too as soon as you get a nice look at it.

Acer Liquid E1 Specifications

  • 1 GHz dual core SOC
  • 1 GB of RAM
  • 4.5" qHD (960*540 pixels) display
  • 5 MP camera, auto focus and LED flash
  • 0.3 MP VGA front facing camera
  • 4 GB of internal storage
  • expandable storage up to 32 GB via Micro SD card

Acer says that the battery will last 8 hours of talk time and about 400 hours of standby. Hard pressed as we are to believe that, the Acer Liquid Mobile S500 too has a small battery, but did prove itself with some exceptional battery life for that low a capacity!

It may be a Krait Dual core, the lower end ones with Adreno 305 (=Adreno 220) GPU.

Or a Mediatek one :/
