Is it removed or something?

I have received some reputation points, but I never get the pop up. Happening after 17th of March. And in my setting:

If you are browsing the forums when you receive a new private message, the system can pop-up a notification box informing you of the new message.

The check box is checked. Also I just sent my self a test PM, and I did not get any pop-up. Though the "Private Messages: Unread 0" turned to 1.

It is not enabled in all the sections. Check threads in tech sections.

ADMIN team,

I am not getting any pop-up for reputations received, nor a message in my PM box. There is no way I am able to tell, who gave me reputation points, and how many. If I go to the user CP, then I see a list of reputations received/date/and from whom. No point allocation. I posted this in post #2, no response.

My notification settings are:

If you read around you will find out that you get 0 reps if you are repped by a person who has..

^In simple words, a recommendation from the Prime Minister would mean much more than a recommendation from your high school teacher. If a person has a high reputation (in TE's case, no. of points the member has ), the more points you will get when he reps you.

In your case, a person having no rep points will be giving you the same - 0!

How does it work actually? How many points should a person have to give non-zero points to someone? and how does it increase?

Have anyone noticed it. Suddenly from the last two days there is no spacing between the reps box. All of them are cramped up and it looks ugly Liked the preivous one which had spacing between rep. boxes. Any particular reason why it has been changed?

:rofl: Wow, thank god. They are supposed to be close together, but dont know why one fine day it started showing up with blank space. I checked the templates several times and even searched on google. Great that its back to how it was supposed to be. Though still dont know how it got corrected.

yes i also noticed that there is no spaces between rep boxes, it really looks urgly

Didn't know that It had spacings from the time i have joined the forums (about a year ago). It was better looking with the spacing though Pls change it back to normal if possible

Yup. Some may be like that. Some thread OP's don't rep even if u have provided valuable suggestion for them and some rep good posts whenever they come across one. It depends on the person.

Just an update on this. I had removed the "pm" on new reputation feature a month back as it was just a terrible waste of resources. You were essentially getting a notification for something you will not want to archive.

I have coded a new plugin now that will do the same job better without using any server resources or queries.

^^thats good but will that spacing in between rep dots be back? i don't have more than one rep dots but still in other members it don't look good.
