Hi

I've a teensy doubt.

To how many people should i "spread" rep points, before i can rep the same person again?

The reason i'm asking this is because i tried to rep superczar for his review, and i got the "spread blah blah blah"...

Then i tried to rep Dipdude for one of his news articles (dont ask me which, all are great..), but i got the same "spread blah blah blah" message again..

I hope any of you Staff-dudes can clarify this point for me.

me too same problem.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Vince again.
 
IIRC, this is the order how it went for me....
Rep Dipdude, worked (maybe 2 weeks back)
Rep Superczar, worked (a week back)
Rep Dipdude, didnt work (today)
Rep Superczar, didnt work (today)
 
Its there to avoid reputation point spamming. You cant keep repping the same person consecutively. You need to rep a few other people in between before you rep the same person again. I believe the number is 10.

Yes there is a limit on that as well. I dunno why you people are always trying to find ways to circumvent rules and regulations though. Last time it was with the signature and smiley rules. Please donot rep just for the sake of it !
 
@Blade wat if a person forgets to rep the same person again? tht would be lil unfair wouldnt it?...
u could improve the rep system a lil bit more to maintain this system and as well to avoid ne future confusions...
something like adding a checkbox in the rep menu/a link in his article sayin Add to rep List.... which a particular <user> whoever checked the "Add to rep list" or clicked the link can check in his/her USERCP, so he can always check when he can again give the reps... but this would mean extra work :(...

and u can limit this option to areas such as Articles TechEnclave..

NOTE: this is like a upgradation to the system not changing it from top to bottom :)

That could happen but right now its merely a shortcoming that we need to live with............ :(

A watch list of sorts could be possible though a hack. Kindly post about this in the feedback section.

Nah there are plenty of useful posts outside of article enclave, even those need to be repped. So limiting is not an option right now.
