ADF scanner < 15k

actually need a scanner to check mcq papers
but OMR scanners are like 5.5 lacs for a good one (sakonics 3500)
so cheaper way is to use good scanner with OMR (optical mark reader) SW
but need Automated Document Feeder (ADF) in the scanner so that can directly feed a big lot (like 50) of sheets to be scanned on auto
any one here has a goodd idea below 15 K :huh:

anyway googled really hard and came up with
KODAK I30 (OR I40) SCANNER
now can anyone (preferably from chennai, mumbai or delhi; where kodak has a big presence)
get me the price

There are cheaper mfd's with adf..Check them out..

yup @party monger

but they don't have the quality or speed of standalone adf sheetfed scanners

e.g. HP has one at 13k which does about 3~5 pages/min

btw i phoned pune office of kodak dealer today

got a quote of 30K for Kodak i1120 (which does about 20 ppm)

normally time wouldn't be a problem
but the volume is rather large ~1000 sheets per day
hence the need for faaaast scan

Woah..Then dont even think of midrange scanners..Go for heavy duty ones..My old tuition classes had one of 43k, abt a yr ago..
