a window will open just click on administrator one and reset password as shown in pic

^^ yups it wont work in normal mode if it did it wud have been a xp flaw.
now see what u can do to reset it completely is using the linux tools.. google on it.

ok there is one easy way...

google around for winternals disk... dunno wat it is called exactly...

look around u`ll find it.. on that disk.. (u`ll have to boot off it..)
there is a tool called locksmith.. whic lets u reset ur admin passwords...

The user accounts information is stored in a file called SAM located in C:\WINDOWS\system32\config. But of course the file is encrypted and cannot be accessed in normal operation. So download this program called l0phtcrack (just google for it, it should be easily available), put it on a system diskette, proceed to boot from it (using DOS) and access the SAM file. Run the program which will then reset the password to whatever you wish.

dude locksmith is a tool whic is used to reset the password...

check out this page...
hxxp://www.winternals.com/Products/Locksmith/Default.aspx
Locksmith, a powerful utility for unlocking lost passwords on Windows NT/2000/XP/Server 2003 systems has been incorporated into other Winternals products, and is no longer sold as an add-on module.

The Locksmith utility provides an easy-to-use Wizard. You select the account whose password you wish to change from a drop-down menu, then enter and confirm the new password. When you reboot the system, the new password will take effect.

If you've been locked out of a Windows system and need to immediately replace a lost or forgotten Administrator password, you may purchase the emergency-download version of ERD Commander 2005 here.
