'kris' was not available at time of registration, and i havent seen any kris here in years, so the old acc must be inactive by now?

Inactive accounts are not deactivated. Renegade had mentioned it before when another member had a similar request.

However I do not see a member by the ID 'kris' here.

There was a user 'kris' when I registered (it was some 3 years ago). If there is no registered user of that name now, then I guess the name change can go through....

We had deleted about 12,000+ inactive members some time back. Maybe it got deleted then. If there is no such user then it will go through. Just get it added to the first post.

I doubt that will work because both usernames are same and the only difference is capital letters
