Adobe's commitment to the Linux community and as part of ongoing efforts to ensure the cross-platform compatibility of Flash Player, an alpha version of 64-bit Adobe Flash Player 10 for Linux operating systems was released on 11/17/2008 and is available for download. This offers easier, native installation on 64-bit Linux distributions and removes the need for 32-bit emulation

Flash Player for Linux that supports 16 theoretical exabytes of physical memory. This technological feat is accomplished using a bleeding edge type of processor known as a 64-bit CPU.

download it to your desktop.extract libflashplayer.so .then open file manager(nautilus ,konqueror or dolphin) as sudo or admin

copy the libflashplayer.so into /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins directory .make symlinks to such directories like firefox/plugins etc .

restart firefox .check about:plugins .and first remove the old flashplugin using package manager.
