ADSL Modem + Wifi Router (single device) suggestions needed

A friend here wants to buy a ADSL Modem + Wifi router, effectively a Wifi Modem device to be used with BSNL. What options does he have and where can he buy them ?
What are the reasonable options available ?

Take the one provided by BSNL itself, it may not the best and latest but it will do the job in cheapest rates. Plus the added advantage is that BSNL babus won't blame your modem in case of service outages.

i gave options upto 3k. Hope you have some coupons

But this can create a hassle with BSNL guys. If there is a problem they blame it on your device. I guess its better to use their ADSL2+ modem and buy a wireless router (gigabit one for future proof)

Avoid the WAG 120N, I bought one a few weeks back and I'm not happy with it at all.
Very Low Wi-Fi range
Sometimes does not connect to DSL on boot
Does not display SNR / Attenuation stats so you can't see line quality.

On the same line the Beetel modem provided by Airtel was working fine.
I would advise the same as thatsashok, use BSNL's modem otherwise they might blame all issues on your router.
