Adsl2+ Lan Connection

i am using an AIRTEL 256 kbps with an ADSL2+ 220 BX MODEM(beetel)..i need to connect my two comps on LAN..How do i do it..i already hav one connected on the ethernet port..i need to shift this system to the usb port and connect my other system via the ethernet port..someone pls help me..i've tried downloading the usb drivers and setting up a connection.. but it jus doen't work...

Just get yourself a switch and some lan cables.

The connections needed will be from modem to switch and from switch to all the PCs you need the net connection on. Simple.

yep, get yourself a 8port switch, should cost around 850 (4 port switches are not available easily, and avoid hubs)

If you install a switch, what will happen to the bandwidth between the two computers, will it be shared ?

basically it depends on the demand.

If both PCs are demanding equally then the BW will be shared 50-50.

If 2nd pc is not using net whole bw will be available to whichever pc that is demanding it.

Basically its just sharing the net signal with multiple pcs. So u do not need to worry about bw loss.
