adsl2+ modem

Hi all,

Tired of Chinese crap. Faulty Beetel 220bx. Please suggest me good modem to replace my existing one.

Are routers with inbuilt modem better ? I already have a buffalo Router. Would i be able to plug in a adsl modem cum router into it ?

Modem - Linksys AM300 ?

Router with Modem - TP-Link TD-W8910G ? Netgear DG834G ?

i'm using the am300 from more than a year now. its a very good modem. i doubt you can find it in shops though. i had a hard time last year trying to get hold of it.

dunno about the router + modem. so, you will have to wait for someone with knowledge on the router + modem to answer you.
 
Modem + router = WAG54G2

Pretty decent.

If it's just a modem, the Linksys AM200/AM300 are pretty hard to find. A decent option would be a D-Link GLB-502T.
 
iceman1, i saw you are selling the linksys for an upgrade? :S

what are you upgrading too?

I too need some good adsl2 router to upgrade from the plain jane Dlink DSL-502T. :)

Bikey, You should have taken the free router from MTNL when they had the scheme like a month ago. I got a 4 port wifi adsl router from MTNL for free for my unlimited plan. Apparently all unlimited plans are/were eligible for that.

Do check. who know you may be lucky and get one for free.

You can take mine if you want 2. Very easy to setup and i hate the interface of D-Link that is why i didn't buy one.
I am buying a N Router and ADSL2+ Modem separately.

What brand/model they offer free?

Is it free for New Customer with Unlimited Plan or for old who turn to unlimited plan too?

waiting for reply :)
 
What was the cost ? and how is the performance of this combo, I too am looking for something better than the IT ADSL model cum router given to me.
