Laptops Advent laptop won't start.

Hi
Could anyone help me..i have an advent 7091 and i tryed to switch it on today and i got nothing on the screen but a series of long single beeps.
They have now stopped and The power light comes on and it sounds like the hard drive starting up..but it lasts for about 5 seconds then shuts back down.

I have tryed starting it up just connected to the mains minus the battery but same thing..a friend suggested removing the hard drive then trying to startup..but nothing..i removed the ram switched them around tryed one at a time and excatly the same.

The machine is running vista basic 1024 ram 80gb hdd.

Help !!!

Can u see the BIOS screen or the Laptop logo??

Which BIOS does ur Laptop use(its generally displayed on the laptop bootup screen, or in ur laptop manual)

If the screen does no come on and the beeping sounds as soon as u turn on ur lappy, it indicates a hardware prob! probably GPU!

Here are some BIOS beep codes for different manufacturers! first check which company made ur laptop's BIOS then try to zero in on the prob with the help of the list!
