Advice needed before buying the XBOX 360 4GB

Hey Guys,
I am planning to buy the XBOX 360 4GB. I had initially planned to get one from the states, but now I am planning to get it locally, it seems the US ones are NTSC whereas the games available are PAL.
Is it possible to get NTSC games in India ?

ebay has it listed for 14990, is it possible to get it cheaper elsewhere ?

can this be modded ? If yes where in mumbai and for how much ?

any ownership suggestions ?
 
Game available in India are mostly Region Free or PAL. NTSC/US or NTSC/UC could be available in Grey Markets or online. If you're planning to get the console locally, then why worry about NTSC region coding?

14.9k for the 4GB 360-S seems just about the correct price.

one question guys, can this Xbox 360 4GB Slim play Halo Reach now??

There were reports of disc read error. I never followed what happened of it.
