CPU/Mobo advice needed regarding DFI motherboard

Hello guys.
I am aditya. I stay in the next building to Funkymonkey.
I was to his place on wednesday. Saw DFI motherboards there with him. He has a spare DFI NF4 Ultra D which he said is for someone from techenclave and 1 more spare DFi NF4 SLI DR which he intend to sell.
I wanted to ask if its a good idea to go for DFI NF4 SLI DR? Wanted to know how good motherboard it is?
I am currently on pentium 4 2.4C which i have overclocked to 2.9Ghz.
Planning to get a cheap 3000+ venice and pu tthat on that motherboard.
Funky says this is the best overclocking motherboard out there. But i wanted thoughts of some more people so he recommended this forum.
he is busy for 2 days as i am unable to contact him and he is not home too now but i can pickup the motherboard from him day after tomorrow if its worth it. Price is not the issue. I wanted Quality good overclocking motherboard. I only had ASUS boards in the past so i am little unaware of DFI :ashamed:

I am keeping rest of stuff i have. Just purchasing the motherboard, CPU and 7800GT.
 
^ I agree. A lot of enthusiasts here are trying their best to get their hands on one ! Either get it, or lose out on a good opportunity :)
 
Also make sure that you either get a week 17 E3 or a week 24/25 E6 venice. Also try to avoid the other week stuff... especially 18 and 19. They suck :p
 
Ok thanks. I wanted to go for 3700+ but then i decided to get 7800GT insted of 6600GT and settle for 3000+.
Funky has told me about the CPU and its steppings. I will try to get the E6.
And 1 more questing. I have True Power II 480. I got it last month from singapore. Will it handle 7800GTX and DFI? Then only i will get the DFI as i prices of TP 2 here faints me.
 
and make sure the components that u are gonna put in it are good - especially the RAM. try getting some good TCCD or BH5 and not some cheapo/fake hynix or transcend. heard the micron chips were better than the cheap shit.

The TPII 480W you have should do a good job ! The basic necessity of the motherboard is a 24-pin PSU, and the TPII fulfills that. Power would be enough as well.
 
That DFI Ultra-D belongs to me and am dying to get it to my place.

The Dfi Lan Party Sli-DR is a masterpeice motherboard.
And if you intend to overclock your processor it will no way limit your overclock.

well i wanted to buy his 3700+ but i am going for 7800GT insted. Will upgrade CPU sometime next year.
Quadmaster he has got his midterm progress report, presentation and some other stuff stacked up on successive dates, this is what i was told from his home. He has gone over to his classmate at parle for come work. Dont know when he will be back. I really dont want to disturb him as its final year work. So i will go there only day after tomorrow as his VIVA is getting over on tuesday.
