PC Peripherals Advice on a laser printer

my requirement is this.... i want a laser printer that costs less... gives good printing quality... speed is not first priority... and black and white printer is enuf...

Heard that HP is the market leader low cost laser printer.... any other companies that are relaible and have good service.....

one more thing... not only the printer must cost less but also ink refilling...

simply to put it... want a best value for money printer... or any sites or articles to compare printers in india??

I use an old HP 6L laser printer and my advise to you is dont buy a top loading printer like this one .... their paper handling is very bad and many pages come out with the printing done at an angle :@

I print so little that the toner in my printer has been in use for about 5 years and it must be not even half used. :) This is why I use a laser ...... in this same time I would probably have changed 3 Inkjet cartridges because they would have dried up without being used.

how much does a cartridge cost? how much will each page printing cost?(approx)

Eazy i saw the url that u had given... laser monochrome printers start at 11k... arent there any cheaper laser printers?

if laser printers cost that much... any other alternative type of printer that is cheap? per page printing cost of injet wud cost more... what abt some good dot matrix printers??

Its been about 6 years since I bought my last Toner !! I think I paid about 2.5k for it at that time.

There are cheaper Lasers... check out the current issue of Digit (YUCK !!) ... they have a article on Laser Printers.....prices mentioned in article as low as 8999/- ... I am sure the street price should be even lower.
 
hehe was gonna ask him to check out the current digit as well .. they mentioned the price of toners for around rs 3.5k if i m not mistaken.

from the review the xerox seemed to give more prints and canon better quality

Get a Xerox. They are the cheapest in the long run even though they may cost a bit more initially.... their cartridges last a lot longer than HP and dont cost as much. Just get the a decently priced xerox phaser.
 
How about Samsung Laser Printers ?
I heard that it gives 3 years warranty , is it true ?
My budget is around 10K , which laser shud i go for ?
 
Hi there.......

Am using Canon LBP-1210. and believe me its reall a cool one. Refilling the toner cost you sumaround 2-3 K (not sure), not yet refilled as i got one free toner too. From my first toner i tooked 3000-3500 A4 Pages. Printer will cost you 8,300 + 4% VAT.

Get free toner before 31st of March or till last stock.
