Gurus,

This laptop is for general use like browsing, watching movies if I ever get time might be used for gaming.

I need your assistance on buying a laptop with following configuration:
RAM - 3GB or more ( Will be upgrading later if I need)
i5 processor ( Guess i7 will be very costly). Can anyone please point me to the right thread which differentiates about these 2 processors.
1GB dedicated GPU
15.6 display
Finger Print Reader. :P

I have seen HP DV6, Dell Inspiron and XPS series.

I want to a buy laptop with above priority features which costs lesser. Please advice on the same.

You didn't mention your budget.

One model that you can consider is Sony VAIO VPCCB15FG for 51-52k.

See my siggy for specs.

Read my post carefully. 55k is the MRP. I got it for 52k in July. You can get it for about 50-51k after some bargaining. It is selling @52.6k at letsbuy.

I checked the price online using the official website. I'm not inclined on Dell XPS as it doesnt have chiclet keyboard.

And how does this Asus Model No X53SC-SX223Dconfiguration look like? Is it a good buy over Dell inspiron 15r i5?

Processor : i7-2670QM Quad (2.2G,6M) 2nd Generation
Variant : Huron River
System Memory: 4GB DDR3
Hard disk: 750GB at 5400RPM
No operating system: Only DOS
Screen Size: 15.6 inch HD LED
Graphics Processor:NV GT 520MX 1G DDR3 VRAM (confused. Don't know what is vram. Though I am not into gaming, I do use Microsoft simulator FSX)

If this is a good deal for 41K am going to buy it immediately. If this is not the good laptop I will be buying Dell inspiron 15r i5.

Once again thanks in advance.
