P4 2.8GHz + 512 MB RAM + Radeon 9100 IGP + 40 GB HDD
The Bad -
1.) No Battery backup
2.) Power plug broken (typical problem for A70) so have a piece of wire hanging behind the laptop having connector for attaching the power Adapter
3.) DVD ROM doesnt work.
The Good.
1.) 512 MB RAM.
2.) Replaced HDD with a year old 40 GB 5400 rpm one.
3.) Replaced Wifi with a Dlink one, as the integrated Atheros one crashes XP repeatedly.
Test
1.) MemTest for 30 min, 3 runs, all good.
2.) Continous operation for 8 hrs (Videos + Music).
Usage - Movies + Web browsing.
Condition - has some scratches on external shell.
3.5 years old. Cost 7.5K
What say, is it a fair deal?
Need advice if I shud buy this one, or drop the deal.
I hope for selling the remaining spares(whatever is functioning
) for 3-4K later.
Need a desktop replacement for 5-6 months usage.
