^^ True.. You need to develop a taste for that. Once done, however, the average "dairy milks" will no longer interest you. The Bournville is really good BTW. Like I said earlier, the 70% Lindt is my favorite. :)

Question is do all 70%'s taste the same ?

We don't know because there is nobody else making 70% that is sold here.
 
Darn it man.

Was avoiding this thread but curiosity killed the Jaguar and memories of Lindt truffles came back rushing in.

Got to purchase some truffles now before i get into a tussle with asingh.

Anybody seen those truffles from lindt around here?
 
As a kid, I used to love After 8. Not so much anymore though! I don't know about all of you, but I really like orange chocolate. I used to eat a lot of Terry's Orange Chocolate and these days I've been eating Lindt Orange Intense due to the unavailability of Terry's in India!

Another addictive chocolate is Daim. You get them in duty free(s) quite easily and are small chocolates wrapped like sweets.

I love the Lindt Orange and any chocolate with orange flavour. I am currently surviving on Fantasie's 'orange crispy' variety. Need more brand suggestions which are locally available.
 
^ You MUST try Terry's Chocolate Orange (Milk chocolate). It comes in the shape of an orange and each piece is a slice of the orange!
 
Other thing i notice with these Lindt 70%, is they're not more-ish.

Have one small bit and you don't feel like having more. Maybe this is a temp thing.until you get used to it but I doubt it.

Unlike with the milk chocolates which you can easily consume in one sitting.

^^ Lol..! On hind-sight, it should have read "when she was still only a GF".. She is still and will always be my GF first.. ;)

BTW, I've found a few shops here which do have all these imported chocolates. They are mostly "duty free shops" and shops dealing with smuggled goods. I doubt the authenticity of the items here. Is there any way to differentiate an original from a duplicate?
 
In Delhi, a lot of variety is available as official imports! For everything else (they have all the officially imported stuff too), hit INA market. The variety is unbelievable. Most diplomats shop there!

Import sticker ?

I find it curious that they always tend to be mumbai based companies doing the importing.

And the box should list manufacturer and where it was made, usually abroad.

Lack of a sticker or the above should be enough to tell its a knockoff or fake. Taste as well, if you've had the real thing in the past. Don't think the Chinese are into making fake chocolates yet, not enough demand there to be worth it and temperature control required makes it even less.
